La Misión is the pioneering ultra-distance race in South America, it was created in 2005 and is now in its 19th edition.
It takes place in Argentine Patagonia, one of the most beautiful and unpopulated regions in the world. The host city is Villa la Angostura, on the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi in the province of Neuquén.
Currently La Misión consists of 5 distances: 40km, 80km, 120km, 160km and 200 km. Assignment of 2 PAX for the TOR330 2025 for the finishers of 120km, 160km and 200 km.
The routes go into the Andes Mountains where there are no inhabitants, no roads or shelters, so the runners must be self-sufficient with their food and equipment.
In its longer distances the route passes through Villa Traful, a small town on the shores of Lake Traful.
The trails are marked and the organization deploys several checkpoints along the route. The landscapes are beautiful and the experience unforgettable.
