La Misión Race is the pioneer ultra-trail event of Argentina and one of South America’s most iconic endurance challenges.

Set in the heart of Patagonia Norte, within the majestic mountains and deep forests of Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi, La Misión offers an immersive, raw, and spiritual experience that has shaped the history of long-distance mountain running in the region.

Since its creation in 2005, La Misión has been recognized for its uncompromising philosophy: athletes must be self-sufficient, resilient, and ready to face the wild essence of the Andes. The race traverses remote valleys, high ridges, isolated passes, and unpredictable weather, combining solitude, technical terrain, and an atmosphere of true exploration.

The event features distances ranging from 120 km to 200 km, but its soul lies in the legendary 200K, a journey that demands strategy, mountain skills, and profound mental strength. Unlike typical supported races, La Misión limits external assistance, encouraging runners to rely on their own capacity, endurance, and mountain wisdom.

With nearly two decades of history, La Misión Race has become a rite of passage for South American trail runners and an international reference for authentic “adventure-style” ultra-trail racing.
