APUC RUMI 100 is a route through Tomabela territory, in the center of the ecuadorian Andes a journey that connects the parishes of Pasa, Angamarca, and Pilahuín with mountain passes over 4400 m.a.s.l. and a significant portion of the Alta Vía Llangahua (30km above 4200 m.a.s.l.).
A high-altitude race that lets you enjoy history, culture, and nature at every turn.
Cross the Andean páramo of Llangahua and take in the remarkable biodiversity and landscapes that surround it.
The race takes place across the provinces of Tungurahua, Cotopaxi, and Bolívar, following the first high road (high trail) of Ecuador.
APPROXIMATE POSITIVE ELEVATION GAIN: 6000m.
MAXIMUM ALTITUDE: 4500 m.a.s.l. (Llangahua Summits)
MINIMUM ALTITUDE: 2800 m.a.s.l. (El Shuyo)
TEMPERATURE: Between 16 and -2 °C.
PRECIPITATION: 1200 mm annually.
TERRAIN: Mud, Rock, and Asphalt.
MAXIMUM TIME TO ARRIVE: 26 hours
